Greetings everyone,
Just a quick update on RIMA Men’s
Number 58
Where we need your help most is
prayer! God has an amazing plan for this men’s weekend. Satan has done
everything he can to get us down but, we have chosen to ignore anything he has
tried. If you would like to commit to spending some time in the chapel as a
Prayer Warrior on the weekend, contact Roland Boucher.
The next thing we need is your
participation; the opening is this coming Thursday, September 30 at 7:00 pm. The
Maninata is Sunday, October 3 please plan to arrive by 7:00 am, Plan to arrive
for the closing no later than 3:00 pm on Sunday, Oct 3 (it starts at 3:30pm
might be a bit early). If you have snacks or drinks to drop off, please plan on
staying for the opening, we like coffee, cream, sugar, soda, cookies, brownies,
chips, dips and oh yea the healthy stuff too. And although we are men, cups and
plates to eat and drink from would be kind of cool too.
As you can see we have a small team.
Some men, who had originally planned to serve, have had new commitments
come up in their lives and they are not going to be able to be with us. An
example would be one man’s answered prayer of a new job. After
a long application process, he has been hired just yesterday and asked to start
next Monday.
We can use your help. If you can be
there to help unload the trailer and set things up that will be at 3:00pm
on Thursday. If you can help set up or take down the Agape, that will be
Saturday evening, If you can be there to help pack things up, that will
be after lunch on Sunday. Loading the trailer and cleaning up will be after
the closing on Sunday at 5:00pm. If you can help with errands on Friday,
Saturday, or Sunday please call Roland. These are all amazing forms of palanca
that will be much appreciated.
Lastly, the economy is affecting a
couple of our men and we could use some green palanca. Although they have
made a commitment to cover their cost, any amount will help offset this and
create less of a burden for the men. If we receive any extra, it will go to the
support of anyone on the women’s team who may have a similar challenge.
We look forward to seeing you all
throughout the weekend. Please consider yourself invited to all of the public
portions of the weekend. If you can commit to help with some of the background
stuff, please remember to help us in maintaining the Cloistered Environment at
the same time.
